CCF announced the election of leadership team who will lead the new Opensource Development Committee (CCF ODC) till the term end of 13th Board of CCF in Shenzhen on December 17, 2021, representing the establishment of CCF Opensource Development Committee. Heading the Opensource Development Committee is Academician Wang Huaimin, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

As the lead sponsor of CCF Opensource Committee, Academician Sun Ninghui pointed out that Opensource Committee will be an important force to drive local opensource ecology.

Professor Peng Silong, director of CCF working committee on TC, and team leader of preparatory for Opensource Development Committee, witnessed the foundation of opensource committee, and mentioned that the election campaign was fierce for the candidates from industry, university and research, applied for the members and executive members of Opensource Committee. He also hoped that CCF ODC will build an open platform for experts in the field to communicate, collaborate and share，full play the advantages of the bridge between industry, university and research, gather the strength of colleges and universities, scientific research institutes, enterprises and individuals, focus on incubating original open source projects, cultivating open source innovative talents, etc., and empower a prosperous open source ecology.
