CCF Announced Xia-Peisu Award Winners

Xia-Peisu Award, former CCF Outstanding Female Computer Worker Award, established in 2014, in memory of the academician Xia Peisu, the predecessor of computer science in China. The award is to recognize female scientists and engineers who have made outstanding contributions and achievements in the computing science, engineering, education and industry.

CCF Awarding Committee decided to award Chen Kunqiu, Professor, Peking University, and Wang Xiaoyun, Professor, Tsinghua University, with 2020 CCF Xia-Peisu Award for their great contribution to the development of China Computing Industry.

Chen Kunqiu  Professor , Peking University

Professor Chen Kunqiu led the design and launch of large-scale software of Chinese character laser phototypesetting system in China, and made great contributions to the progress of China's printing and publishing industry.

Wang Xiaoyun  Professor , Tsinghua University, Academician of CAS

Professor Wang Xiaoyun proposed the theory of collision attack of cryptographic hash function, found out the weakness of MD5, SHA-1 and other cryptographic algorithms, and designed a new international standard of cryptographic hash function.
