The 40th National Olympiad in Informatics  (NOI 2023), hosted by CCF and organized by Chengdu Seventh Middle School in Sichuan Province, was held in Chengdu from July 22 to 28, 2023. This is the second time since 2013 that NOI landed in Chengdu, experiencing the charm and enthusiasm of "the Land of Abundance--Sichuan".

NOI 2023, there are 33 teams participated in, among them, 31 teams from 31 provinces and autonomous regions, and two teams from Hong Kong and Macau, which returned to main competition after three years in field competition. 

The competition ultimately resulted in 52 gold medals, 150 silver medals, and 77 bronze medals after two tests. Zhou Kangyang (from Wenyuan Middle School of Hangzhou) won the top with gold medal, while Yang Minxing (Nanjing Foreign Language School) and Dong Yiqi (Affiliated High School of Renmin University of China) respectively won the second and third place in the gold medal.
