CCF Announced 2024 Overseas Outstanding Contribution Award

CCF Overseas Outstanding Contribution Award is awarded to overseas individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to promote China's computer industry in the fields of scientific research, academic communications, talent cultivation, and international cooperation.
CCF Awarding Committee decided to honor Professor Chua Tat-Seng from the National University of Singapore and Professor Tim Kwang-Ting CHENG from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with 2024 CCF Overseas Outstanding Contribution Award, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the computer science and China's computer industry.

Professor Chua Tat-Seng, National University of Singapore
Professor Chua Tat-Seng is an internationally renowned scientist in the fields of artificial intelligence, multimedia, and information retrieval. He is the founding dean of School of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. He established the first overseas joint laboratory with Tsinghua University, close cooperation with China for a long time and trained over a hundred science research talents for top universities in China.
Professor Tim Kwang-Ting CHENG, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Professor Tim Kwang-Ting CHENG is an outstanding scientist in the field of EDA, who has made pioneering work in integrated circuit testing and design verification. Through offering courses and mutual visits in China, he has cultivated a lot of outstanding talents in the field of computer science; and he actively participate in and organize academic conferences in EDA in China, making important contributions to industry-university cooperation.
